Back to Lake Erie

We went to Lake Erie with our granddaughter Mallory and her brother Brent with his friend Liz. Our son Sam and his friend Linda took them by boat to the beach to swim. On the second trip we went by boat to Cedar Point and back. We spotted something floating in the water and them Mallory seen a couple of young people in the water about 100 foot from their Ski Boat that had rolled over and was unusable. Sam got the two out of the water and towed them and the Ski Boat to safety.

Christmas in July

Pleasent Hill Lake had a Christmas in July with fireworks. We had family and friends for a picnic and boating. Our son Skip used his classic 1963 25 foot Lyman and our daughter and her husband Bart used their pontoon boat to take all of us out on the lake to watch the fireworks. Our grandson handled the dock line for the boats.

Sandusky, Ohio

After returning from Canada we stopped for two nights at Cold Creek Trout Camp that is situated along the banks of Cold Creek. The creek surges directly from the "Blue Hole", a large cavernous spring which, mysteriously, seems to have no bottom. The water in the creek is a constant 48 degrees year round.

Returning to United States from Canada

We had no problem with the US Customs on our return. The biggest problem was the 100's of others wishing to return. Lanes were closed while agents handcuff and took somebody away and the heavy rain. The agent we got was female who boarded us for inspection. The view is just one half of the 100's crossing the border, we are back 6 vehicles from the gate.

One of 30 Walleye, Tom's boat and Whitney

To Canada and back

We traveled to McGregor, Ontario a small town outside of Windsor. With us was our daughter, Shelley and her daughter Whitney. We stayed at Wildwood RV Resort. Our friends from Texas, Tom and Martha stay for the summer at this resort. Tom along with his friend Jim took all of us fishing for Walleye.
